I was so sorry to read Eleanor 'cookie' Palczer who was a cook at Eaton Elementary School; I will always recall her smile when she saw my twin sister, myself and my mother at the Midway Mall..she'd call June and I 'twinsey' because she swore June and I were identical twins. Twins we were, but we were fraternal twins. she always expressed her sympathy to our mother, for which Mom would just laugh, saying June and I were a handfull but that she was happy she didn't have triplets! 'Cookie' was also at EMH when my twin sister June passed away from complications of M.S., when I came downstairs to be by myself...'Cookie' who was always visiting former 'kids' she knew from schools she worked; she knew by my fece, tears streaming down..that June had passed, for which she left her counter seat and gave me a hug, sayin g 'this too will pass in time...just remember all the good times, and forget tn forget the bad ones. Well..that was a tall order for me; there was so much I wanted to say to June, like how I was glad she was my twin sister, and thanks for all the help she was to me in school , getting me in girl scouts when no one else wanted me in the same troop! 'cookie' also spoked to Troop Leader--Mel Hunsdlorf) and her daughter Ida who were more than willing to accept me as their newest scout, but it all started with 'cookie'..god love her, and I do too (just put in a good word for me when you remember? and say hi to June and Mom) Cya ...twinsey.
