I"ve known Diane since we were in the third grade back in Detroit. We became good friends as our parents became friends thru us. Our families celebrated many birthdays and holidays together. Diane met her wonderful husband when visiting us at our grandmothers house in Hawthorne Pa. Over the years we stayed in touch with the phone as I moved first to Rochester NY and then to Satellite Beach, Fl and Diane and Don settled in Elyria, Ohio. The telephone was definitely Diane's connection to the world as her health failed her. I relied on her weekly phone calls to check up on me!! She was a good friend to me and I will miss our weekly conncections.

Dear friend, Time slips away but are friendship never did.We have been thru alot of ups and downs but where there to talk to each other over 20 yrs. of friendship.From watching your grandkids while you were a student monitor and all the graduation Partys you and Don attended for my kids what memories. In the last 2yrs.I have been living in Yuma AZ.you were my lifeline to Ohio.I am gratefull to have seen you in Julyand blessed to have you as a friend. You and Don loved AZ.When I go to Sedona where God had a paintbrush in his hands I well think of you and Don. No more pain or suffering at peace with The Lord and your loving husband. Well miss you. Farewell to Diane,

I will surely miss talking to you on the phone. We've known each other for a long time. We had many good memories, such as: our Jr. High years, the 4-H club that my mom taught, Sunday school at church, the surprise party us neighborhood girls threw for you, and driving with you to work in downtown Detroit. We palled around after the high school years having great times. Then there was all the fun we had double dating--you and Don, Norm and I at the drive-ins in the 60's. Then standing up in your wedding and all the years since keeping in touch and up to date with the kids and grandchildren. You'd always call; you were the "great communicator". Today, I loss one of my best friends. I am sad to see you go, but I know you are free from your pain and medical problems and are reunited with Don once again. May God Bless you and give both of you His divine peace. Hope your family finds comfort in this time of sorrow.
