Catholic Cemeteries Grief Support Program
Start
Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 - 3PM
End
Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024 - 4PM
The Church calls each member of Christ's Body to participate in the ministry of consolation: to care for the dying and to comfort all who mourn. Our Lord is the example of comfort and support to the grieving. Our Catholic faith gives us the strength and courage to help us in our grieving and reminds us of the promise of the spiritual reunion with our loved ones. The Catholic Cemeteries Association is committed to ministering and assisting families before, during and after the death of a loved one.
By incorporating the traditions of our Catholic faith, our Grief Support/Aftercare program offers the support and resources necessary in handling your grief.
Monthly Sunday Support Groups: As places of faith, hope and remembrance, an important component of our Grief Support Ministry is our Sunday Support Groups. Catholic Cemeteries Association offers a monthly Grief Support Group that meets for one hour on the third Sunday of each month (4th Sunday if it falls on a holiday) in select cemetery offices at 3:00 p.m. Meetings are informal and do not build upon each other, so you can come at any time and feel right at home. Registration is not required and there is no fee. Refreshments are provided.
Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark
All Saints Cemetery, Northfield
Please come and join a warm fellowship of people with similar grief experiences, helping each other through prayer, shared stories, and grief recovery discussions. We offer a safe, private, and encouraging environment where you do not have to hide what you are really feeling. You do not even have to talk, but come and listen and be in the presence of those who understand. You are not alone!
