Leonardo D'Onofrio's Obituary
Leonardo D'Onofrio, age 60, of North Ridgeville died Sunday morning at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Fieete, Italy. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 20 years moving from Canton.
Mr. D'Onofrio served in the US Army from 1961 thru 1967.
He retired from Pittsburgh Paint and Glass, Cleveland in 2001 after 18 years of service.
His hobbies included building race cars and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. (nee Zedell), three sons, Antonio (Diane) of Cleveland, Leonardo Jr. (Lori) and Joseph (Danielle), all of North Ridgeville, six grandchildren, one brother, Joseph D'Onofrio of Akron, two sisters, Michelle D'Onofrio and Rose DiVincenzo both of Brookpark and one ? sister, Mary Figliola of Parma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Guiesppa D'Onofrio.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9Pm in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 Am Wednesday followed by 10:00 Am Mass at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church 5500 Lear Nagle Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Richard Gonser, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
The VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors at the graveside.
