Perriwinkle Candle for the lady in the blue

It was my pleasure to know Gerry through Delta Kappa Gamma. If a Renaissance woman is defined as one who knows a lot about many things, then we can remember Gerry as such. Her long, successful teaching career gave her knowledge in history, math, science, and geography to name a few. Gerry was also a wonderful gardener, a great cook, and a talented quilter who willingly shared her gifts with others. She set a very high bar in our sorority, and we will miss her dearly. My condolences to her family.
May you find comfort in the many people whose lives were enriched by Gerry's time on earth. Believers are certain Gerry is with our Lord and Redeemer.

It was always nice to stop by the Wilson home and say hi to Mrs. Wilson. Her quick mind and gentle grace only added to her ability to enjoy the outdoors and family. She truly was a treasure of North Ridgeville and will be thought of with loving care by family and friends. I enjoyed catching up with her on several visits in the last few years to talk about family and the garden. I was a friend with Betty through school and Girl Scouts. Mrs. Wilson will be missed by many and loved by more.
I have good memories of Mrs.Wilson. She was a very sweet person. I went to school with Betty. Prayers and sympathy to her family. She will be missed.
The loveliest person outside of my family I have ever known. She baked the best pies, and quilted beautifully. She grew amazing tomatoes in her garden. We played a lot of baseball in her yard, and she was a great neighbor to my mother.
I know Geraldine through North Coast Needlers Quilt Guild. We considered each other family because she & my parents grew up in neighboring towns in West Virginia. She was a wonderful person! Prayers for her family.
My prayers to all the family. Mrs Wilson was my 2nd grade teacher and I loved her!
Rest in peace.

My goodness! I had no idea Mrs. Wilson was 101! I grew up across the road from the Wilsons on the other side of Avon Belden. When I was going into 9th grade, I remember going to visit her because I knew she'd been a teacher and asking for advice on what electives to take. She suggested taking typing because it would come in handy when I went to college. Little did I know that her advice would pave the way for many opportunities beyond college and is something I use every day as a writer. She also told me that I would be able to make money typing papers for everyone who hadn't taken typing, which was also true! I made $50 in one semester just typing for other students. Another memory is that there was a 10-year age difference between my brother, Bill, and I and she was the only person I knew who had known both of us in a school-related way. My condolences to her family. I will always remember her with fondness.

I only met Mrs. Wilson one time but through her daughter, Betty, I felt I knew her well. Betty once told me, "Keeping up with Geraldine...it can't be done." My deep condolences to the family.
My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mrs. Wilson. She was my first grade teacher At Wilcox and was the sweetest woman. Prayers and blessings to her family.
