Gerald O'Brien's Obituary
Gerald P. O'Brien, age 68, of North Ridgeville died Friday evening at St. John West Shore Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville the past 34 years moving from Cleveland.
Mr. O'Brien was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was a former member of Knights of Columbus, Cleveland.
He worked in maintenance for Dollar Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1990.
Mr. O'Brien enjoyed reading, listening to Irish music and was a avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Irene (nee Kantor), one son, Gerald O'Brien of Sullivan, one daughter, Kathleen Conroy of Elyria, one grandson, Travis Gordon, two brothers, David of Parma and Richard O'Brien of Rocky River, one sister, Maureen O'Brien of Sagamore Hills.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Terrence on 1964 and Brian in 1985., and his parents, Clarence and Josephine O'Brien.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Peter Church. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville.
