George Nemec, Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

George C. Nemec Jr., age 75 of North Ridgeville, died Monday at home following a long illness. He was born July 5, 1929 in Nanty Glo, PA. He had resided in North Ridgeville since 1959 moving from Elyria. He was a member of Life member of VFW Post 1079, Elyria and St. Peter Catholic Church North Ridgeville. Enjoyed being a good father and grandfather. Mr. Nemec served in the US Army during WW II. He was a quality control supervisor for Bendix Westinghouse in Elyria, retiring in 1988 after 39 years. Surviving are 4 daughters, Marianne Martin of North Ridgeville, Gale Hill of Lorain, Karen Sue Nemec of Wakeman, Janet Kory-Lowstetter of North Ridgeville,ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, 4 brothers, Joseph of Lorain, Anthony of Loretto, PA, Albert and Michael of Portage. PA, four sisters, Helen Ganley of Lily, pA, Cecil Baer of Spring Hill, PA, Anna Jubine of Patton, PA and Verna Nemec of Mt. Clemens, MI.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 2004, Parents, George and Veronica Nemec, sisters Paula Nemec and Mary Palach and brother, John Nemec. The family will receive friends Thuesday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Friday. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Peter Church with Rev. Stephen Kaminski as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery.
