I join with so many others who knew Sam, both as a referee and a friend, in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing.
As a fellow soccer referee, I always enjoyed working with Sam. I will miss seeing him on the pitch and send my condolences to his family and friends.
I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the Spann family. I had the privilege to work many soccer games with Sam and I will miss those times. Weather it was discussing some rule change or the glories of SEC football, he was always had something insightful to say. I will miss him very much.
Our deepest sympathy to the family of Umpire Sam. We truly believe he is now behind the plate on the ultimate field!
Sam was a very special individual. To me he was the true Energizer Bunny. He was always on the go helping others. The word ?no? was not in his vocabulary. I will always remember him cooking turkeys for the annual St. Julie?s Thanksgiving. Sam was a man who lived for family and friends. He may be gone but will not be forgotten. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Sandra and family.
I will miss Sam for I also spent many hours on the Soccer field working with him. He always had an enthusiastic and friendly greeting which was a
very special trait of his. He will certainly be missed. My very best to his family who I know have wonderful memories of the years that were given to them by Sam.
For many years I have known Charles both as a friend and as a fellow soccer official.
I have enjoyed the many hours we spent on the field together officiating soccer matches.
I will miss him.
