Ross S. Maenza

May 23, 1937 - January 21, 2022

Ross S. Maenza, age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Wesleyan Village. Born in Cleveland, he had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 11 years, moving from Olmsted Falls. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1954-1957. Ross maintained the building and equipment for Preferred Inc. in Cleveland for over 30 years, retiring in 2021. He had worked as a truck driver for the Cleveland Press and formerly owned and operated LoParo’s restaurant in Woodmere Village. He was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville, Teamsters Local 860 and enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, chairs etc. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mariann (nee Martin), son, Ross Maenza (Kim Vargo) of South Amherst, daughter, Laura (Michael) Lehman of Cleveland, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and brother, Robert (Cheryl) Maenza of Strongsville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Runals, son, Anthony Maenza, brother, Carl Maenza, parents, Ross and Sadie (nee Moscarelli) Maenza. Friends may call Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am followed by Mass at 10 am at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Masks are required. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, with full military honors. Memorial contribution may be made to Project Drew www.projectdrew.org, or Music on a Mission www.musicmissioninc.com.
