Darrell E. Oskins

August 30, 1952 - January 19, 2022

Darrell E. Oskins, age 69, of Lagrange, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 30, 1952 in Holden, West Virginia, and has been a resident of LaGrange for the past 14 years, moving from Elyria. He worked as a hot metal operator in a steel plant, retiring in 2004. Darrell loved his G.T.O. and was a founding member of the Buckeye G.T.O.’s and a past member of NOCCA. He and his wife Peggy were regulars at many local car cruise ins. He was also one to spin a tale, with some of his stories (though true) hard to believe unless you were there! He was fond of his boxer dogs, which he had by his side for many years. Darrell is survived by his wife Peggy (nee Turner); daughter Rebecca Morton; grandchildren Serena and Cameron Oskins and Collin and Luke Morton; brother Keith Oskins; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Mark; parents Martin and Lorain Oskins; brothers Donald and Ernest Dean Cassidy. Memorial Service Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment will be private.
