I just became aware of Fr. Neil’s passing and I echo what many others have written. I would not be the person I am today without knowing Fr. Neil as a teen and participating in the Search program. Rest in peace, faithful servant.
Father O’Connor, I’m writing this to you as I know you can “hear” me in spirit somehow :) THANK YOU for taking care of me and my young sons Daniel and Jacob in 2011 when Mark died. Your true servant heart of our Lord was generous and kind. I only saw the Lamb, not the Lion- guess I was one of the lucky ones :)) Rest Eternal Father! I am, and will be forever grateful for you 🌈☘️✨
Fr O’Connor,
As I reflect on the impact of your life to so many people, I am left with a mixture of sadness and joy. Sadness obviously because we have lost a good friend of great significance in our lives. Joy because a person who was so full of life, was hampered by illness for a number of years, is now at peace and can rest easy. Joy also for the many fruits of your life you leave behind.
As Christian people we are called to “build the city of God”, foster a community where we care for one another, and use the talents we are given to be light for the world. My own life has been deeply enriched by a faith which was in a large part sparked when our lives crossed paths. From that time I can reflect back on many lifelong friendships which to this day surround me with a supportive Christian community. Thank you!

We are very grateful for all the years Fr O'Connor helped our family. From their baptisms until they left home for college - he remained a great teacher on how to follow Our Lord! He has been in & continues to be in our prayers.

My deepest sympathy to the O’Connor Family on the loss of Father Neil. He was a very kind and caring priest and we were blessed to have him as our pastor at St. Columbkille. May God grant him eternal rest for all the good he did for so many.
