Denny Johnson
The family thanks all who paid respects to Ron Johnson. We wish to offer a special thanks and prayer for the wonderful folks at St. John Westshore Hospital. The staff and volunteers at the hospital found him, just as we did, to be a very good natured and appreciative person. The Nun, I'm sorry I forgot her name, who came twice to pray with and for Ron was a blessing. We have a wonderful memory now of Dad singing his heart out to the Lords Prayer in song. Thank you Sister.
Our thanks also go out to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Westlake. Ron wanted to return home to finish his days but he agreed to go there. They made his final days among his best. We were able to talk and share our love. We were able to assure him of our commitment to care for his wife Marge for the rest of her life. And we were able to say goodbye. The entire staff and facility is focused on making a persons final days as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. They have and deserve our sincere thanks and gratitude for their service.
And finally, Ron lived a full and active live. He re-invented himself many times and excelled each time. His most valuable role was Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was a gentle man and a Gentleman yet he was strong and ever helpful to all who knew him. I will forever be proud to call him Dad.
May he rest in peace and join my Mom Dorothy, brother Ron and Sister Judy as well as all the other souls he lifted while on this Earth. I believe he will be the first I seek when my time comes.
His Son Denny
