Robert A. "Bob" Gilder, age 85, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain, following a short illness. Bob was born May 3, 1926 to Ralph and Helen Gilder of North R Read Obituary
Nancy and family my deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are in my prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family as you remember all the good times you've had together. Jean, you and Bob should be proud of the wonderful family you raised and all the laughter you provided their friends, including me! My memory is the day he helped me get going in my new stick shift car that I could barely drive. He held the clutch as I zoomed away! I'm still not sure how he got his foot out of the way. He shoukld know that I still have a stick shift sport car. May your thoughts give you comfort.

Thinking of your family at this time of sadness and hoping the memories that will be flooding your hearts will ease the pain.
Dear Marcia and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I was fortunate to have met him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Margaret
I am sad to hear of the passing of Bob Gilder. I was informed of this last night and wanted all of you to know my wife, Judy, and I will say a prayer for Mr Gilder and the entire family. Many memories flood my thoughts...of the good times growing up in North Ridgeville and the friendships that developed. Marcia, especially to you...I wish I were there to give you a hug...it has been too long. In reading the article in the paper, your family has much to be proud of and I am glad that I was able to know, and be part of, your family while I was growing up.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.
There are too many memories to try to pick one. For sure, all of them are filled with laughter and good times. No one ever had a loss for robust conversation when "Rag" was in the crowd. His quick whit and signature voice always made him welcomed company. We will miss him. Our hearts and prayers are with all as you celebrate this life well lived.
So sorry to read of Bob's passing. He was such a joy to listen to at the Historical meetings-what a memory he had, he was truly a great part of our history- hope some of his recollections will be recorded. He has been in my prayers.
Our deepest sympathy on your loss. Shared many great afternoons playing Eucher with him. He will be missed. We will keep him and your family in our prayers.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad six years ago and then my mom last year and understand that it is a loss and sadness that never goes away. I am always thinking of the good times though and it makes it easier. I hope that is true for all of you.
All of us growing up had so much to be grateful for in North Ridgeville with our families who all knew each other.
God Bless You.
