Aunt Lourie always took care of us and was always there for us. She would always check up on us and ask how we were all the time. I am glad she got to spend time and be with Ella, but Ella will probably wont remember her. But I will always tell her stories about Aunt Lourie. Of how kind, funny, and caring she was. She will always be in my heart. I love you Aunt Lourie
Lourie....I am very blessed that we are family. I didn't have the chance to say goodbye but I wanted you to know how thankful I am for you. How I will never forget your humor, your wonderful smile, or your caring heart.....I will miss you more than words can say...and our crazy texts....lol....I do send my love to Mike, Sherman, the family, and everyone who was blessed to have known you. Please give hugs to Uncle Mike, Aunt Bonnie, and Aunt Pat for me.... RIP Lourie....your memory will be forever cherished in all of our hearts including mine.
I met Lourie in 1977 went we both were starting the 8th grade. we became friends right away. we stayed friends all through high school. i moved to Dallas, Texas for a job and a year later Lourie moved down there also. she moved back in to Ohio in the early 1990's. i stayed there til 1997. we kept in touch all those years. when i returned to Ohio it was like we were never apart. my kids and i lived with Lourie and her husband, Sherman for a few years. when we bought our house, it was 3 houses down from Lourie and sherman's house. my kids spent more time at their house then they did at home. then they moved to Medina and we didn't see them much but stayed in touch. Lourie was like a sister to me. i miss her already.we knew each others deep down secrets. we could talk about anything. i was sad when she moved away. now she is gone forever. it was so hard to be there when she passed. it was so sad to see her go. i hope she knows that we were all there with her til the end. i love you Lourie and will never forget you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sherman and Lourie's family and friends. Lori was a gentle soul, with a kind heart who always had a smile. We will miss Lori at the Burley gatherings but she will be forever in our hearts.
RIP Lourie....you, my friend with the sweet smile and kind words, will be forever missed.....rest now...until we meet again.
Lourie and I have been great friends since the first time we met, she was in the 9th grade and I was in the 10th, I had transferred to Midview High from Lincoln West High and was very nervous about being a new student in a different school, but, Lourie made the transition easy for me!! There, I met Lourie, :Lennie, Beth, and Kelly and we were a set of great friends !! A true fit!! Now many years later, we kept that friendship active and I am sad to say that she is now gone, but NEVER forgotten! I love you Lourie! I will miss you and I will see you again some day!! Rest well my sister and dance on those streets of gold!! Keep an eye on all of us from above and tell Rick I love him and miss him too!! I know you will enjoy heaven! One of your best friends, Sandy
Eternal rest grant her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon those who mourn.
