so sorry to hear of Lesley's passing. My condolences go out to her family and to her mom and sister. Although it has been a long time since i have sen any of them, i played softball w Lesley and her family lived on Noll Dr. at t he end of where my grandparents lived. Rosey also used to babysit my sister n I and i would go visit when i was at gramma n grandpa's. I hope she is at peace now. So sorry again for you loss!!

Rosie,
Do you remember our little sleeping beauty in first grade? I used to think she was so smart that she was bored with our work and would fall asleep. You gave me a statue at Christmas of a little child fast asleep! I've always been so proud of her accomplishments and loved to hear about her work and her family. All of you are such loving people. It has been an honor to teach you and to know you. How very difficult this is for you all at this time. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. May our sleeping beauty truly rest in peace with the Lord of love who has called her home!

Lesley and I were in the same class up until the 4th grade. We were the young ones in the class having September birthdays..hers was 3 days before mine..I always teased her she was an old lady as we got older...anyways..I was held back in the 4th grade after Christmas break I was sent back into the 3rd grade..it was quite a traumatic experience humiliating as you can imagine.. kids aren't always nice at that age . Lesley stuck by me and stuck up for me and remained my bestie even tho we were no longer in the same class. She had such a kind heart and full of compassion..
I'll never forget that.
Lesley and I spent countless summers playing ball together..running back and forth between each others homes as we lived very close to one another. She had a swimming pool so we were mostly there.. lol.
She was very competitive and that lefty could sure hit that softball a long way! I recall she had a special bat just for lefties...funny things u remember!
One last thing..we played CYO basketball and she and I entered a free throw contest..in the end we were competing against each other for the first place spot...and she wiped the floor with me..lol. She was graceful in her win ..never rubbed it in.
Will forever hold these memories..I know there are far more...
Lesley and her entire touched so many lives. You will be missed Lesley. Love you ..prayers for you and your family.
