Gaby didnt´t just left two sisters and a brother, she also left a son behind and thats me - Alexander.
It is nice to read that her newphews and nieces had a place in her heart - But it
would´ve been nice to have a special place in her heart also.

I waited 30 years to keep her promise that she gave me... The promise that we going to see each other again....
When Monika informed me about her death - i knew she will never going to keep her promise...

I wish i could´ve write something about good times and memories with her but now they will be a dream forever...

When Gabi first came to the US with my brother I was in high school. Being from NR we didn't have a lot of diversity and I wasn't sure what to expect. She quickly became a part of the family and was like an older sister. She was there when I graduated high school, got married, had children, graduated college and when my dad passed. A lot of major life events were shared with her and she was a wonderful aunt to my daughters. They loved each other dearly. My heart is heavy knowing she is gone but I trust God's will and the promise that we'll meet again one day. Life twists and turns and things aren't always beautiful but it's a gift that should be cherished and shared. I feel blessed to have had Gabi in my life and she will never be forgotten. God speed my dear friend and sister--fly with the angels in God's kingdom of eternal peace.

My sister Gabi was the baby in the family. In my opinion she was spoiled and got away with everything. She was the cutest little girl with her hair braids and an infectious smile. She grew up in a small town in Germany, Bad Kreuk nach where we could play in the streets and also wheat fields and between the grape vines. Our winters were not that cold but we did have enough snow to build a snowman and go on a sleigh ride. We had much fun at Christmas time since that was the time we got to play with the dollhouse and small grocery store that was just out over the winter months and stocked with all new supplies and treats.
Gabi had two sisters and one brother who will miss her dearly. I know we are all getting old and life is not a forever thing. We will all go to another place sooner or later and meet up with her.
My prayer is that we who are now left behind try to appreciate the life God has granted us and enjoy the people around us. Life is too short to hold grudges or be mad or unable to get over a hurt someone may have inflicted upon us.
The greatest thing we can do is to know God and to follow His commandments and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
