Dear Mary, Brandon, and Cory: We, the Camberg family (Terry, Linda, Bill, and Kevin), have been very saddened by the news of Denny's passing. Denny grew up at 907 Broadway, Altoona, PA, next door to us; our backyards were adjacent only separated by a chain-link fence. When we saw the picture of him on this website with his remote-controlled miniature airplane, we smiled with our memories of Denny in his backyard flying his homemade aircrafts over the years, and seeing them sailing over the garage at the backend of their yard. Denny had the sweet nature that reflected his parents as well. His mother and father worked side-by-side in their backyard creating a miniature environment of vivid, colorful bloom of spring and summer flowers reflective of their trip to Holland and Germany. Denny's mother had unusual "flower pots" such as using an old black leather shoe where she planted "chickens and hens." This partnership between his parents was always an inspiration as whatever the one did, the other supported. Denny had the goodness of his parents within himself as we remember him. In his youth Denny worked at Thompson' Pharmacy located just a few blocks from our homes. He was intelligent, efficient, and self-directed even as a youth. In reading the tributes and seeing the pictures of Denny on this site, we are so proud to see the man that he became. We are so sorry for your loss and pray that the love of God, family, and friends that surround you is a comfort and buffer against the pain of your loss of Denny. We will always remember his angelic smile.
