Hard to believe that you have been gone for a month now. It seems like only yesterday that we all said good-bye and prayed for another day with you. I miss you so much...but you already know that.

You would be so proud of Mom and how she is trying so hard to be a strong woman and face every day without you there. We are all chipping in to make sure she is taking care of herself and finding some bits of joy in a day.

Christmas is a time of finding your blessings and being with them. We are all dreading this one without you, but we find comfort with the family you left here on earth. I miss you, Dad and I am happy that you are home with Our Father who has probably got His hands full with you right now. Enjoy the angels singing with Johnny Cash and I love you very much. You truly are my hero.

Grandpa, I will never forget every summer growing up and spending time with you, those are memories that I will never forget. You always made me laugh and smile no matter what type of mood I was in. Through your actions I've learned that hard work reaps great rewards and that without family you have nothing. No matter what you are going through that family will support you no matter what. They may voice their opinions (you might not want to hear it), but they will love you no matter what. You are such an inspiration and I hope that your lessons that you taught me will show throughout my life.

You will be greatly and terribly missed. I love you so much and I'm glad that I was able to have you in my life, though only for a brief period, I wouldn't change any minute of it. I love you. Rest in Piece and keep watching over us.

Every time I hear the word grandpa or grandfather I close my eyes and think of him. I think of him in his OH state sweatshirt and his gray baseball cap and in the back of my head I hear him saying 'hey kid' (his way of saying hello to me).
I miss him even though he's always with me.

Dear Dale -

Most of my favorite memories of you will always be the fun and the experiences we had at horse shows.

Especially your constant, good natured teasing of me - which made me laugh in the often stressful times of showing, and had a way of helping me learn not to take myself and life too seriously.

One of my other memories is the day we did the Flying Wish Papers at Steve and Dee's, New Years Day, 2011. I remember your having two or three tries until your wish finally flew.

So today I have lit a candle and sent a Flying Wish Paper up in your name. Only you and I will ever know what it said. . .

This is such a hard time in our life and there is no words to express how we feel when a loved one passes. It will take time and I hope that you will call if you need anything.
I take comfort in a phrase my father told me years ago when my mother passed away. "Loved ones are forever with us because we hold their memory in our hearts"

What a funny and energetic person. I will always remember the wild polka dancing he did with Bev at some of the weddings years ago. In addition, the special time Bev danced with Mike and Dale danced with Mike's girl friend at Stan Hywet Hall. It was an honor to have known him.
