I was so saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing, She was such a happy, warm kind-hearted person. When I met her for the first time, I felt as though I had known her for years. I remember one summer, when we were kids, my dad (Rick Taylor) was taking us to Cedar Point and he needed a riding partner, so Cheryl went. She wasn't afraid to go on anything, she was such a trooper. She even bought me ice cream! We had a blast that day! My heart-felt sympathies, thoughts, and prayers are with Frank and her family. She will be missed.

One of our memories of their warm relationship is the names they used for each other. He called her Petunia or Pooter. It seemed that she always called him Francis while the rest of us used Frank. Special names for special people.
She had her strong, red haired individual self, but will be remembered as a bright but warm light who cared about people and their concerns. She cared about her work and took special pride in how well it was done. She cared about her grandchildren and her house and her dogs and the problems of others with good words for all. She was faithful to her church and believed God cared.
We meet people in life. Some we do not see very often yet when they are gone they are memories that we keep with us. We can see their smile or hear their voice or know what they might say. Cheryl is now a memory that we will keep with us and enjoy as we enjoy the grandchildren we shared.
Strength to her husband, for he will be in need of it. It will hurt and life will be empty and memories will wash in and out and those will be his Cheryl into all the tomorrows. We cannot walk this path that Francis is on. We can only support him as he travels it.

I am saddened by your loss of Cheryl. I met her when we worked at Charter One, back in the day. She was always so very sweet, nice and patient! I was always so happy when I knew that she was working on one of my files! She went the extra mile for us loan officers, but always kept us in line too, with her sweet manner. My thoughts and prayers to her family, you have the sweetest angel now watching over you all.

I am so sad that my mom has lost such a dear friend. I met Cheryl when I was a kid and for as long as I can remember it has been the dynamic trio of my mom (Sylvia), Dory, and Cheryl. I have so many great memories of these three ladies together! What stands out to me the most is how close they were and how much they always laughed together!!! I have a favorite memory of the three of them when they were all in Orlando...I don't remember the story exactly, but somehow my mom had on the wrong glasses or forgot her glasses or something and she was driving. Dory rode shotgun and Cheryl was in the back seat. My mom pulled into a McDonald's drive-thru after they had gotten lost or were driving around for a while, and my mom pulled up to the dumpster instead of the drive-thru window and tried to order. My god did they ever laugh about that!!! I can still hear them howling retelling that story over and over!!! I am laughing out loud typing it now!

Cheryl, you will be deeply missed but you will certainly live on in our hearts. Thank you for all these great memories and for being such a special friend to my mom and Rick.

Some people come into your life and move on. There are a special few who move into your heart and soul and set up a permanent home. Cheryl set up residency in my heart over 25 years ago. So I want to say my heart is broken but I can’t because she lives there still and always will. Cheryl was a sweet, supportive, patient and loving woman who was beautiful inside and out.
Cheryl, Sylvia and I were so lucky to not just find each other but to build and forge a strong bond that sustained us through the good and bad. But mostly, we just had so much fun. Together we created all sorts of wonderful memories that will now help us through this terrible black hole of losing her.
I love you, Cheryl.

How do you sum up in this little space almost twenty five years of a special friendship with one of the most beautiful people who was so entwined with your life? Cheryl was that unique friend who was always there for you, never judged you and let you be your imperfect self but loved you just the same. She was someone I shared my deepest secrets with, shared our joys and disappointments, shared our families. I honesty could write a book about the adventures of Cheryl, Dorothy and me but we would have to censor much of it! (yes, there was a wild side to Cheryl which we will keep secret from the kids!) How I will miss our UNholy Trinity and the craziness we created as that threesome. We didn't just laugh, we HOWLED!
As a couple, Cheryl and Frank were destined to be together. I remember one Christmas asking her if she had a good holiday and what stood out was her comment that "I have never been happier--I have a family and I am part of that family." I knew she had found her soul mate and the kids were the icing on the cake. She was the perfect foil for our Frankie--knew just when to shut him down and how. One of those "Cheryl looks" and one word: "FRANCIS!!" Worked every time.
Truly they had the kind of relationship some people go through life wishing to have. Perfect for each other seems like such a cliche, but so appropriate in describing these two.
As these memories come and go like waves, my sadness is indescribable and there will be such a huge hole in my life without her. I will treasure each memory and feel blessed that she was such a part of our lives. We'll always miss you Pooter Anne but you will live in our hearts forever.

We are so saddened to lose Cheryl but are extremely blessed to have her cross our path. She always had a smile on her face and was just plain fun to be around.
Our fondest memory of Cheryl will always be her reaction to a story someone was telling at a dinner party we had at our house. We were all on our deck and Cheryl was laughing so hard, she backed up into one of our planters and sat right down on it. (For the record, the plants did survive).
The girls were all very envious of her hair.
We will miss her very much.
