While it’s been awhile since we’ve hung out with our old friends, we have so many great memories of Caren! One in particular that comes to mind was a summer weekend several years back when Jim and Caren were over for a cookout. We were putzing around the garden and chatting when suddenly Caren went to one of our potted plants and ripped it apart. Everyone was slack jawed staring at her, and she looked up with plant stems in her hand and said “what, that’s what you’re supposed to do to it!” And darned if she wasn’t right! We’ve since torn that particular plant apart regularly and it always comes back stronger! Just as Caren always seemed to do. Every time we look at that plant we think of Caren and laugh about that moment we shared! We have missed seeing her over these last several years, and it hurts knowing that’s now permanent. We will miss her, and our hearts and prayers go out to Jim and all of Caren’s family. Gone too soon, we pray she rests in peace and God bless her soul and Jim and her family!
